UPDATED March 13 to show that the software was developed by MappingSupport.com, not Google.
Hey Portland hikers – well, and everybody else.
Just this morning I was feeling all sad that National Geographic no longer supports its Topo software for Mac OSX, which means a lot of my hiking maps are probably useless, and the software is acting all funny even when it does work … and then the Mazamas shared a link on Facebook of a video by my friend John Godino.
In it, John introduces us to GMap4, a new online, browser-based, and completely free (no installation, even) topo mapping software. How cool is that? It was developed by Joseph Elfelt at MappingSupport.com.
Here is John’s video, which is a good introduction.
