Nel Centro: One of my favorite downtown Portland brunch spots.

Downtown Portland Brunch Nel Centro
Right this way to a lovely downtown Portland brunch

Over at my breakfast blog, Breakfast in Bridgetown, I have a review of a lovely downtown Portland brunch spot called Nel Centro. It’s one of several restaurants association with a downtown hotel, and in my opinion it’s the best: spacious, modern but friendly, excellent food and service, and no lines.

Normally, right here I would post a picture of some scrumptious Benedict or scramble or omelet, but I said downtown Portland brunch, not breakfast. In other words, they have (on Sundays, anyway) lunch options like this Endive Salad with Apple, French Blue Cheese & Candied Walnuts. How yummy is this? And it’s only $10!

For more where that came from, plus the whole story of how grown up I felt eating there, read the review here.

When people tell me there are no good brunches in town without a line, Nel Centro is high on the list of places I want to yell at them about. The food and service are both excellent, and the prices are perfectly reasonable for what it is.” author=”Paul Gerald” pubdate=”2013-01-30″ user_review=”8″ min_review=”1″ max_review=”10″ ]
